Devil Made Pinot - 2025 Pinot Noir
The Devil Made Pinot — 2025 Pinot Noir, Woodside Estate Blend Adelaide Hills
Some wines play it safe. This one sold its soul for something better.
Grown on a single high-elevation site in the Woodside valley — where the cool Adelaide Hills air keeps things honest and the ancient soils keep things interesting — this is Pinot Noir with a point of view. Hand-harvested at 400 metres above sea level, where the devil clearly had a say in the timing.
In the glass it's all silky deception — a deep, brooding crimson that swirls like it knows something you don't. On the nose, dark cherry and wild strawberry show up first, followed by a whisper of dried roses, a little forest floor, and just enough five spice to make you wonder what you've gotten yourself into.
The palate? Sinfully smooth. Fine, grippy tannins frame a core of red and dark fruits with a savoury, earthy backbone that lingers long after you've convinced yourself one glass was enough. It wasn't.
Cool fermentation. Gentle handling. Aged in French oak — because the devil is in the detail.
Drink now with something you probably shouldn't be eating at 11pm. Or cellar 3–7 years if you can resist.
